We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a self motivated Bistro Supervisor to join one of our Location hotels. You will bring your true love of food and customer service to this role to participate in and achieve the hotel's goals.

The successful Applicant will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience as a bistro supervisor and looking for a role in a large organisation, or a team leader ready for the next step
  • Be a true customer service professional
  • Must be willing and available to work days, nights and weekends (including some public holidays)
  • Display excellent people and communication skills
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in a busy bistro, restaurant or similar environment
  • Posses exceptional presentation skills and personal grooming standards
  • Is a team player
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with ownership and accountability for managing floor operations throughout a shift.
  • Effective time management with the ability to plan, prioritize and delegate.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team to excel.
  • Strong cashiering and cash handling skills. 

As the Bistro Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Consult with the Bistro Manager on day to day operations in the restaurant.
  • Provide input on improving Bistro performance and efficiency. This is a key development role, your input is valued, and your personal development is of priority.
  • Assist the Bistro Manager in completing probation and annual performance reviews. 
  • Lead, mentor and train the Bistro team, ensuring a fun and energetic working environment.  
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong hands on management experience.
  • Able to demonstrate positive and assertive leadership styles
  • Confidence to manage conflicts or issues as they arise within the bistro and handling any guest requests and complaints in line with the hotel policy.
  • Setting and maintaining high service standards and ensuring professional and friendly service is provided to all customers by the Bistro team.
  • Managing line staff on the shift to ensure required performance and product quality and presentation are in line with Hotel policy standards.
  • Liaising with guests, Chef and Kitchen team on menu, guest feedback and service issue.
  • Assisting with training and maintaining staff product knowledge within the Bistro
  • Achieving and upholding a clean, safe and hygienic work environment.
  • Working with the Bistro Manger to achieve weekly wage KPI targets.
